Sunday Services

Sunday Services
We gather to worship Jesus together in a variety of ways throughout the month. Our main Sunday service begins at 10:30am and offers a welcoming blend of family worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and traditional elements, creating space for all ages and stages of life to encounter God together.
Whether you have been part of church for many years or are simply curious and visiting for the first time, you are very welcome. Please come as you are.
Some Sundays include more modern worship songs with guitar-led music, while others draw more from traditional hymns and liturgy. Our hope is that, through different styles and expressions, everyone can find space to worship, reflect, and grow in faith.
At St Peter’s, we are passionate about being a church at the heart of the community — a place of prayer, friendship, encouragement, and hope. We love welcoming new people and would be delighted to meet you. There is no dress code, no expectations, and no need to know what to do beforehand.
Alongside St Peter’s, we are also blessed with St Edmund’s, our historic Chapel of Ease. We are excited about all that God has in store for its future and believe He is continuing to lead us forward in faith as we serve our parish and beyond.

Children & Families
Families and children are a valued part of church life at St Peter’s, and we aim to create a relaxed and welcoming environment for all ages.
At the back of the church there is a small crèche area available for babies, toddlers, and parents during the service.
Our Junior Church pattern usually follows this monthly rhythm:
-
1st Sunday – Worship for Everyone (All-Age Service)
A service designed for all generations worshipping together, usually with more modern worship songs.
-
2nd Sunday – Morning Worship with Communion
Junior Church available for children during the service. Typically includes more traditional worship.
-
3rd Sunday – Morning Worship with Communion
Junior Church available. Usually includes more modern worship songs.
-
4th Sunday – Morning Worship with Communion
No Junior Church. Typically includes more traditional worship.
Children begin the service with their parents or grown-ups as we worship together. Partway through the morning, one of the leaders will invite younger members to head out to their groups.
We believe children are an important part of church life and love seeing them grow in faith, friendship, and confidence.

Prayer & Community
After each service, there is an opportunity for anyone who would like prayer or someone to talk to. Whether you are carrying a burden, celebrating something joyful, or simply exploring faith, we would love to support and pray with you.
We also enjoy spending time together after the service with refreshments and conversation — a great opportunity to meet others and feel part of the church family.
